Theme Pack: Diversification Starter Tools

Every ESOP that has been in place for at least 10 years must comply with the legally required (statutory) diversification rules. This starter pack provides tools for a company that wants to explain the required notices and the basics of the provision. This guide includes a:

  • Checklist of things to consider before you start communicating about diversification.
  • Three editable PowerPoint slides that provide a basic overview of the statutory diversification rules.
  • Newsletter (editable) “Diversification Options at a Glance” which covers what it is, who is eligible, and the basics of how it works.
  • Letter Explaining Preliminary Notices — Your Plan may require notices be sent to those eligible before they have the essential information about what is available to diversify. This letter can be used in addition to the formal notices if you want to explain to everyone why notices are being sent.
